Angie M. Tarighi, CEO & Founder of Women's Self-Defense Institute and EasySafety4U.com (http://www.easysafety4u.com)states, "This is a great opportunity to reach out to the women of our community during April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month and provide them with the information, tools and resources needed to lower their risk of becoming a crime statistic."
The importance of these types of classes is underlined by the statistics that indicate that one-in-three women, one-in-four girls, one-in-six boys and one-in-eleven men will be victims of sexual violence at least once in their lifetime. And the most disturbing fact is that 70% of rapes are never reported to the police.
Sexual harassment and sexual violence thrive on silence. Stopping it can be as simple as speaking up, even if it's just to say "that's inappropriate." Choosing to do something is choosing to make a difference.
Join us on April 16th from 7-10pm at Hoboken Medical Center's Assumption Hall for our workshop on Women's Safety Options - Deciding to End Sexual Violence. Register (http://www.self-defense-mind-body-spirit.com/contact-samm.html) today to save your spot to make a difference.

Although the Equal Pay Act is still subject to the scope and exceptions of covered employees and employers contained within the act, it is considered as th...
